Gregory Ackerson - President
Greg serves as the President and owner of Blue Ridge Lumber. He took over after his father retired in 1992. Blue Ridge Lumber was a single yard location and employed 16 people at the time. Greg has expanded the business throughout the years to eight locations, that employ over 100 people. He also started Grand Rental Station which has a store in Hackettstown NJ.
Charles Post - General Manager
Chuck has been with Blue Ridge Lumber since 2003. He was a manager from 2003-2013 at both Hackettstown and Kenvil locations. He is a skilled manager with an extensive background in the lumber industry. As General Manager, he oversees all store operations and sales, works closely with store managers and road sales staff.
Mike Black - Sales Development Manager
Mike started on the wholesale side of the building industry in 1990. During that time, he worked in various positions including Sales, service and installation. He then moved over to the retail side, where he excelled because of his sales ability and customer service skills. Mike joined BRL in 2010 where he started as inside sales, moving to outside sales and Andersen Window service, before being tapped to lead the entire Blue Ridge OSR Team.
Corey Groves - Purchasing
Corey joined the Blue Ridge Lumber team in September of 2013 as a store manager. Corey has been in the building products industry for over 25 years, working over 17 years as a store manager as well as holding various other customer service and sales positions. He has worked closely with contractors ensuring they have all materials to finish their projects. Corey became a buyer in the September of 2022 and helps purchasing materials for all branches.
Brian Scott - Buyer
Brian joined the Blue Ridge Lumber team in February of 2022. Brian has been in the building products industry for over 10 years, holding various customer service and sales positions. He has worked closely with contractors ensuring they have all materials to finish their projects. Brian became a buyer in the May of 2022 and helps purchasing materials for all branches.
Dave Post - Blairstown Store Manager
Dave has been a dedicated member of the Blue Ridge Lumber team since 2021 and has embraced his family's legacy in the lumber industry. Throughout his time at BRL, Dave has gained invaluable experience across various roles, including yard laborer, driver, counter salesmen, dispatcher, and IT administrator. His diverse background and commitment to Blue Ridge have culminated in his current role as the Store Manager in Blairstown.
Steve Chuck - Hackettstown Store Manager
Steve joined the BRL team in 2008 as inside sales with the acquisition of Wickes Lumber. He began working in the lumber industry in 1986 with Wickes, giving him almost 40 years of knowledge and experience. Steve has accumulated a vast amount of knowledge in both product and inventory control. Steve was promoted to store manager of our Hackettstown location in 2022.
Kevin Howey - Kenvil Store Manager
Kevin is quite a success story, after working for 4 years at other local lumber yards, he joined the the BRL team in 2009 as a Yard employee. He was promoted to Dispatcher in Kenvil, then to a top preforming counter salesperson and finally to manager in 2021. All together Kevin brings over 16 years of ground up experience to the Management Team.
Craig Lawson - Ogdensburg Store Manager
Craig became part of the BRL team in 2008. He has 25 years of experience in the business with extensive knowledge of all facets of a lumber yard from operations to sales. Craig has developed strong relationships with our customers and contactors through his involvement with sales. Craig was manager of our Kenvil store and is now responsible for our Ogdensburg location.
Chris Enright - Fair Lawn Store Manager
Chris joined the Management Team in 2016 and was appointed Manager of the Fair Lawn location. Chris brings over two decades of retail lumber experience, during that time he has worked both as a Manager and Outside Sales Representative. Chris possesses excellent managerial skills as well as being a talented sales person.
Craig Curry - East Stroudsburg Store Manager
Craig began his career in lumber and building materials as a part-timer in 1987 at Cramer's Home Centers while attending East Stroudsburg University. After graduating in 1991, he decided to stay in East Stroudsburg and work full-time. His past roles have included yard laborer, counter salesman, kitchen and bath salesman, and assistant manager. He was named store manager in 1996. Craig managed three Cramer's locations before he joined the Blue Ridge Lumber team in 2022.
Steve Worden - Pocono Summit Store Manager
Steve joined the Blue Ridge team in 2022 to manage the Pocono Summit location. He brings 5 years of construction experience, followed by over 5 years in retail lumber sales at 84 Lumber, where he worked his way up through the ranks to become a location manager. Prior to entering the lumber industry, Steve served for 7 1/2 years in the Army as a medic, where he developed his leadership skills and diverse skill set.
Robert Rosario - Lake Wallenpaupack Store Manager
Robert joined the Blue Ridge Team as a Inside Sales Representative for the East Stroudsburg location in June of 2022. In February 2023 Robert was promoted to Manager at the Lake Wallenpaupack location of Blue Ridge Lumber. He has over five years of construction experience in residential and commercial roofing and seven years of working in the retail and lumber industry. Robert is a Veteran of the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division where he served as a Staff Sergeant and Section Chief of a Field Artillery Battery.
Carol Metzgar - Blairstown Office Manager
Carol, an East Stroudsburg local, joined Blue Ridge Lumber right after finishing at Churchmans Business School in 1993. With decades of dedication, Carol serves as the Office Manager, overseeing all accounting and financial functions. In addition to her primary responsibilities, Carol also manages professional relationships, ensures compliance with financial regulations, coordinates office operations, and plays a pivotal role in staff training and development. Her meticulous attention to detail and deep understanding of the company's financial landscape make her an invaluable asset to the Blue Ridge Lumber team.
